Spiral SmartSurround retrofit cables: exact numbers and conflicting labels

Distinguish M8 device leads, M12 CAN leads, controller flying leads and shortened printed identifiers while preserving unresolved length and terminal-selection conflicts.

Identification details & limits

Reference identifier: Spiral SmartSurround retrofit cables: exact numbers and conflicting labels. Compare each listed detail with the exact product and the source document. Do not submit a personal serial number or access code to this website.

Identification and scope details from the cited sources; each row retains its source locator.
Connector rolesThe retrofit overview distinguishes M8 device connections from M12 CAN-box connections. Similar appearance or a shared connector name does not establish interchangeability.
Exact component number1210879-0
Exact-number source trace1210879-0
1210879-0Labelled M8 retrofit lead; source prints a 0.3 m lead. Match the exact label; no suffix equivalence or universal fitment is established.
Exact component number1210855-0
Exact-number source trace1210855-0
1210855-0M12 CAN lead identified in retrofit baseplate components; length remains configuration-specific. Match the exact label; no suffix equivalence or universal fitment is established.
Exact component number1210856-0
Exact-number source trace1210856-0
1210856-0M12 CAN flying lead to the controller, with one connector and bare wires at the other end. Match the exact label; no suffix equivalence or universal fitment is established.
Exact component number1210877
Exact-number source trace1210877
1210877P-clip identified for the LP SmartSurround jamb cable. Match the exact label; no suffix equivalence or universal fitment is established.

Exact-number source trace1210800-0B
Exact component number1210800-0D
Exact-number source trace1210800-0D

Exact-number source trace1210800-0E
Standard staging tableThe standard manual lists 1210800-0B at 0.3 m and 1210800-0E at 2.7 m. It lists 1210800-0A at 9 m for remote terminals and 1210800-0D at 2 m for a side-column BTA4. Later figures conflict with the terminal-cable labels, so this table alone is not a definitive retrofit selection.
1210800-0E length conflictThe prewire baseplate table labels the same identifier as 1 foot on one side and 9 feet on the other. Page 18 also illustrates 9 feet / 2.7 m. Confirm the required cable with the manufacturer.
LH repeats the length conflictThe LH baseplate table also assigns 1-foot and 9-foot descriptions to 1210800-0E. Do not treat the side of the diagram as proof of a distinct part identity.
Printed spelling remains unresolvedThe LP text prints 1210800-E while its illustration prints 1210800-0E. The drawing also conflicts on length. This is not evidence for an alias or a corrected ordering number.
Referenced part number1210855-0X
Head-lead identity conflictStandard head components list long and short 1210855-0X leads; the short-lead figure instead prints 1210855-0. Treat -0X as a configuration reference and verify the complete required number and length. No alias or replacement relationship is established.
LH head-lead conflictThe LH short-lead prose also uses 1210855-0X while its figure uses 1210855-0. A matching connector does not resolve the discrepancy.
LP head arrangementThe LP head component list shows one 1210855-0X cross-spreader cable and the 1210856-0 controller flying lead. The other retrofit lists show two head leads; do not transfer their quantities to LP.
Optional BTA4 cable conflictThe standard BTA4 figure labels both short and long runs 1210800-0B, despite the staging table assigning different A/D numbers and a 0.3 m B lead. No definite BTA4 cable selection follows from that figure.
Optional MS4 cable conflictThe prewire MS4 figure labels its terminal lead 1210800-0B. Confirm the terminal type and required cable with Rytec; do not interpret this as proof that every B lead fits an MS4.
Suffix boundaryThe LP manual prints 1210877 for a P-clip. It does not establish an alias for 1210877-0A. Likewise, retrofit 1210879-0 is not automatically equivalent to 1210879-0A from an owner-manual parts list.
Selection boundaryThese are exact source labels and documented discrepancies within configured retrofits. Confirm the complete manufacturer number, required length, terminal and door configuration. No standalone retrofit kit, fixed kit contents, universal fitment or replacement edge is established.
